Some vehicles have factory fitted racks, in this case remove existing bolts from roof and remove existing bolts and rack. No need to drop lining to install roof rack.

Description
The Backbone is a mounting system for your Toyota FJ Cruiser. Connecting to your vehicle’s roof via 3 bases on each side, it allows for a Rhino-Rack Pioneer System to be fitted on top.
Remove covers on roof to expose threads in roof. Backbone fits to these existing threads in roof. No need to drop lining to fit backbone.
Some vehicles have factory fitted racks, in this case remove existing bolts from roof and remove existing rack. No need to drop lining to install backbone.
