Discovery 3&4 RD4B1 Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System
The Rhino-Rack Backbone is a mounting system for your Land Rover Discovery 3&4. Connecting to your vehicle’s roof via 4 bases on each side, it allows for a Rhino-Rack Pioneer System to be fitted on top. The black trim on the roof is removed, exposing threads in roof. The backbone then connects to the threads in the roof with bolts and hardware provided. In some situation, factory fitted tracks are installed on Discovery vehicles. In this situation these tracks are removed and the backbone is installed to those threads, again no lining needs to be removed to install this backbone.

Description
The Rhino-Rack Backbone is a mounting system for your Land Rover Discovery 3&4. Connecting to your vehicle’s roof via 4 bases on each side, it allows for a Rhino-Rack Pioneer System to be fitted on top.
The black trim on the roof is removed, exposing threads in roof. The backbone then connects to the threads in the roof with bolts and hardware provided. No need to lower internal lining to install this backbone, all done from top of roof.
In some situation, factory fitted tracks are installed on Discovery vehicles. In this situation these tracks are removed and the backbone is installed to threads in roof, no lining needs to be removed to install this backbone.
